St Matthew's Maryland Community Ministry
Members of St Mary Anglican work with and support the inner-city community ministry of St Matthew’s Maryland, located in West Central Winnipeg . We are one of five parishes providing ongoing active support to the Community Ministry through the St. Matthews Maryland Anglican Consortium (Diocese of Rupert’s Land) as well as nine United Churches in Winnipeg Presbytery.
Volunteers from St Mary's prepare and deliver food, assist with programs and activities, including providing hospitality at the drop-in. This vital work has continued throughout the pandemic. St MM adjusted programming, with safety protocols in place, to continue to meet the need of neighbourhood families. We also provide donations of non-perishable food items for the Emergency Food Cupboard - stocked primarily by supporting congregations. Donations collected from parishioners for the Emergency Food Cupboard are regularly delivered to St. Matthew's Maryland. See more about the ministry at St Matthew’s Maryland Community Ministry on their website and contact them directly to volunteer and for additional opportunities to help. |
